Lisa and I fell in love with the Boundary Waters a couple of years ago and can’t wait to go back every year. It’s a pristine wilderness that hits you with everything there is to love about the north woods. It’s quiet, serene, and simple. All things that we lack in most of our everyday lives.
This summer Ely, MN has been impacted by the raging forest fires in northern Minnesota and because of that visits to the BWCA’s western entry points have been closed. That has a direct impact on this amazing community and we wanted to do something to help.
On August 22nd, St Croix 40 and Fire Tower Trail Races will be hosting the mid-point aid station for the Ely Bike Tour, in support of Ely relief efforts. The ride is being put on by the Friends of the BWCA, a great organization that is trying to protect this special place. You can join the ride for only $20 and it has two distances for you to choose from.
We hope to see you out there!
